Tone Swep is a well known independent writer-producer and marketing executive of Muscogee and Black American lineage. He is a former development rep for 40 Acres & A Mule Filmworks west coast development division (West Hollywood, CA) and former streets editor for The Juice Magazine. Today, Swep is one of the most in-demand marketing minds in urban media and his marketing company, Moxie Street Media (MXE), is one the fastest rising boutique firms concentrating on urban affluence, sports, and youth culture as they combine to define an international street ethos.
Swep emerged as a published writer at the young age of 15, as a hot topics journalist for the Sacramento Observer – an African-American centric newspaper headquartered in his hometown. By the age of 30, Swep had over 15 years experience as a polished writer-producer, marketer, and consultant. Possessing one of the most versatile and accurate voices in urban media, Swep’s unorthodox MarCom style, project direction, copywriting and packaging approach blends street life and social awareness with intellect and HighBrowUrban elitism. He specializes in global urban youth culture and brand architecture.
